Dr. Giacomo Meeker is a highly accomplished and experienced Board-Certified General Surgeon practicing in Dickson and Waverly, Tennessee. Dr. Meeker graduated medical school from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas—a top 20 medical school. He completed his General Surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2015 and has been practicing in Dickson, Tennessee since that time. Dr. Meeker is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He possesses extensive expertise in a broad range of surgical procedures. His skills encompass robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgical techniques, making him equally proficient in minimally invasive and traditional approaches. Notably, Dr. Meeker has performed over 1000 robotic surgeries, showcasing his advanced proficiency and commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technology for optimal patient outcomes.
Dr. Meeker’s practice focuses on bread-and-butter general surgery, addressing common surgical needs such as Hernias, Gallbladder Disease, Breast Cancer and Skin Cancer. He is also a highly skilled endoscopist, adding a significant dimension to his diagnostic and interventional capabilities; Further enhancing his comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. Meeker is an Associate Professor of General Surgery with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center General Surgery Residency Program in Nashville, helping train the next generation of General Surgeons.

Before specializing in surgery, Dr. Meeker pursued a diverse academic background. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and nearly completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. His strong academic foundation is complemented by his experience in various professional roles, including financial advising, and information technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Meeker is a dedicated family man. He is happily married to his wife, Monica, and cherishes time spent with their three children: Annabelle, Camilla, and John-William.
